Abstract
An apparatus () for generating a high voltage or high field strength and a component () for generating a high voltage or high field strength are disclosed. The means () ensures that, in a space () of the defined area (), between the piezoelectric transformer () and an inner wall () of the dielectric housing (), an essentially symmetrical field distribution () prevails. Even with an external influence (), the field distribution () is influenced in such a way that an ignition field strength in space () of the defined area () is avoided.
