Abstract

A system, for the transcutaneous measurement of a substance concentration, preferably alcohol, in blood, includes a light source (); a detector device (); an optical device ('), with an inlet (), an outlet () and an exit opening (); and a contact surface element () with a contact surface (). Measuring radiation emitted by the light source () reaches the inlet () and exits the exit opening (), to the contact surface (). The optical device (′) focuses measuring radiation at a measuring point () at a predefined distance from the contact surface (). The optical device (′) is configured such that scattered radiation generated in the measuring point () and entering into the exit opening () is focused at an outlet point () at the outlet (). The detector device () is arranged to detect the scattered radiation focused at the outlet point ().
