Abstract
A wind turbine () includes a main shaft () including a front end (), the front end () including a first connecting structure (). A rotor hub () includes a second connecting structure (), wherein the second connecting structure () of the rotor hub () is fixed to the first connecting structure () of the main shaft (). A plurality of blades () is coupled to the rotor hub (). A rotor locking disc () is carried on the main shaft (), the rotor locking disc () having an outer circumference () and a plurality of recesses () on the outer circumference (), the recesses () having openings () intersecting with the outer circumference (). At least one rotor locking pin () is movable between a disengaged position relative to at least one of the recesses () and an engaged position wherein the pin is located at least partially in one of the recesses () for locking the rotor hub () against rotation.
