Bolaamphiphilic compounds are provided according to formula I:HG-L-HG   Iwhere HG, HGand Lare as defined herein. Provided bolaamphiphilic compounds and the pharmaceutical compositions thereof are useful for delivering HIV active drugs into animal or human brain.
