The systems and methods may involve maintaining a main data source containing a plurality of data objects; maintain a plurality of boards for presenting the plurality of data objects; maintaining a plurality of linkages between at least some of the plurality of data objects associated with differing boards of the plurality of boards; receiving a selection of a particular data object associated with a particular board; identify via a particular linkage of the plurality of linkages at least one additional data object on another board linked to the particular data object on the particular board; defining a sub-data source, the sub-data source aggregating the at least one additional data object and the particular data object; receiving a visualization template selection; map the sub-data source to the visualization template selection to generate a sub-data visualization.
