Abstract
A gesture recognition systemcomprises a gesture controllerand a computing device. The controlleris designed to be held by a user such that motion of the controllerby the user enables gesture control inputs to be made to computing device. In use, a display unitof computing device is operable to provide visible feedback on the motion of controllerin the form of a cursor, the cursor moving in response to controllermotion. The systemis operable to enable the cursorposition to be reset to an originin response to a reset input. In addition to resetting the cursorposition, the system can define the current orientation of the controlleras a new origin orientation.
