Abstract

A valve arrangement () is for a patient interface device () having a frame portion (). The valve arrangement includes a valve member () having a coupling portion () and a blocking portion () extending from the coupling portion. The coupling portion of the valve member is structured to be coupled to the frame portion. The blocking portion is structured to move between a first position and a second position. The valve arrangement further includes a guard member () having a coupling portion () and a protecting portion () extending from the coupling portion of the guard member. The coupling portion of the guard member is structured to be coupled to the frame portion. When the blocking portion of the valve member moves from the first position toward the second position, the blocking portion moves toward the protecting portion of the guard member.
