Abstract
There is a photovoltaic (PV) panelincluding an array of photovoltaic (PV) elements (). Each PV element () is stand alone and can be electronically addressed individually. The PV panel () also includes a number of spectral filters (), in this example, a red filter (), a green filter () and a blue filter () arranged over some of the PV elements () to filter out the red, green and blue spectral components from white (combined red, green and blue) light emitted from a red-green-blue (RGB) transmitter. Data can be transmitted by modulating the spectral components of the RGB transmitter such that the data in each of the spectral components can be recovered from the electrical signal generated by the PV elements ().
