Abstract

A pulse wave detector includes a pulse wave detection sensor which is configured to detect a pressure pulse wave from an artery of a measurement subject, a pressing member which supports the pulse wave detection sensor and is configured to be moved in one direction to press the pulse wave detection sensor against a body surface of the measurement subject, a plurality of guiding members which are placed around the pulse wave detection sensor in a plan view as seen in the one direction and extend in the one direction, and a supporting member which supports the plurality of guiding members. The pressing member includes pass-through portions through which the plurality of guiding members are passed to be movable along the guiding members, respectively.
