Abstract

An augmented reality method for displaying remote and virtual players and spectators includes generating a live video signal of a first scene associated with a field of view of a first user, wherein the first scene comprises at least one gaming element associated with a game being played by the first user at a first location. The method further includes determining a second user associated with the first user, wherein the second user is at a second location. The method further includes displaying an avatar of the second user to the first user so that the avatar is part of the first scene.
