A portable terminalhaving a batteryobtains a congestion level indicating people-related congestion in a range including a point where a specific function of the portable terminalis expected to be executed. Based on the congestion level, the portable terminalperforms a reduction process for reducing power consumption of the batterybefore arriving at the above point, where the specific function is expected to be executed.
