Abstract
An elongate airbag module () of a vehicle occupant restraint system includes a folded airbag () and an envelope () receiving the folded airbag () and at least one elongate flexible fixing tab () via which the airbag module () can be fastened to a vehicle. The fixing tab () has at least one opening () for receiving a fastening clip () through which an engaging portion () of the fastening clip () serving for locking to the vehicle extends. Portions of the fastening clip () are wrapped in the fixing tab (), with the fixing tab () extending toward a free end () of the fixing tab (), relating to the not yet folded state, substantially in parallel to a longitudinal direction (L) of the airbag module ().
