Abstract
A feature amount generation unitof an information processing unit-generates a feature amount indicating the relationship in spectral reflectance between two points, from spectral data of a multispectral image in an irradiation region of a common light source acquired by a multispectral camera. A recognition processing unitperforms recognition processing on a subject, on the basis of the feature amount generated by the feature amount generation unit, with at least one of the two points regarded as a position in an image area of the subject that is a recognition target in the multispectral image. Therefore, the feature amount generation unitcan easily generate the feature amount robust against variation of the light source and appropriate for the subject. In addition, the authentication processing unitcan accurately perform the recognition processing even if the light source varies between registration of the subject and the recognition of the subject.
