Provided is a gas barrier material having superior gas barrier properties. This gas barrier materialcomprises a matrix resin, and a carbon materialdisposed in the matrix resin, wherein the carbon materialcontains a partially exfoliated graphite having a structure in which graphite is partially exfoliated.
