Compounds of the formula Ia or of the formula Ib in which X, Y, Rand Rhave the meanings indicated in Claim, are inhibitors of pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase (PDHK), and can be employed, inter alia, for the treatment of diseases such as cancer.
