Abstract
A display control apparatus includes detection means (a proximity sensor) configured to detect that an object has approached, and control means (a system control unit) configured to perform control such that in response to the detection means detecting that the object has approached, a display of a first display unit (a monitor) is turned off. In a case where interval shooting or long exposure shooting is performed, the control means performs control such that in response to the detection means detecting that the object has approached (S), the display of the first display unit is turned on (S).
