Abstract
In a pair of sliding components having respective sliding faces (S) which slide relative to each other, at least one of the sliding faces (S) is provided with a plurality of dimples (), and the dimples () include a concave part (), and a peripheral edge part () which is located at the outer peripheral part of the concave part () and is shallower than the concave part (). Accordingly, the performance of the plurality of dimples formed on the sliding face can be sufficiently exploited, thereby improving their lubrication performance and sealing performance.
