Abstract
An apparatus includes a die having a receiving area for a blood sample. A chamber is mounted on the die and fluidically coupled to the receiving area to process the blood sample. The chamber includes a set of electrodes that applies a voltage to the blood sample. A hematocrit level of the blood sample is determined based on a change in impedance across the set of electrodes after the voltage is applied.
