Abstract

A portable work light is disclosed that provides jobsite lighting and also operate as a security camera for the jobsite. The portable work light comprises a light fixture having one or more rotational degrees of freedom that can be actuated to adjust an orientation of the light fixture. The portable work light advantageously further comprises a camera, which provides security features for the jobsite during non-working hours and enables automatic adjustment of the light fixture to maintain optimal illumination of the jobsite during working hours. In this way, security at the jobsite, particularly during non-working hours, can be greatly improved using jobsite equipment that is also useful for other purposes.
