Abstract

The crib bed () has a crib sidewall () secured to the crib bed leg construction () by means of a latching system (). A latching bar () is spring-loaded by means of a latch bar spring () for engagement of the latching pin () with a stationary guide member (). The latching pin () is retractable into the latching bar () against the load of a spring () arranged in the latching bar by displacement of the latching pin along a sloped surface () of the stationary guide member (). The latching pin () is secured to the latching bar () with a linkage pin () extending through a slot () of the latching pin and extending through a hole in the latching bar. The linkage pin () is guided in a guide rail () in the latch housing () for retraction of the secured latching pin.
