Abstract

A driving support ECUdetermine that a mistaken acceleration operation condition is satisfied when a time from a first time point to a second time point is equal to or shorter than a predetermined threshold time (T2th), while a shift position is at a reverse position (R) for driving the vehicle backward. The first time point is a time point at which the driver does not operate the brake operation member. The second time point is a time point at which an index value corresponding to an acceleration operation amount satisfies a predetermined index value condition to be satisfied when the driver performs a predetermined sudden operation of the acceleration operation member. The driving support ECU make the driving force when the mistaken acceleration operation condition is satisfied smaller than the driving force when the mistaken acceleration operation condition is not satisfied.
