The invention relates to method and system () for centrally controlling uplink streaming from a plurality of devices (D) to a server (S) for data processing. The method comprises to centrally measure (S) performance of data processing for providing a performance measurement result (r). The method continues to be executed on the device (D) by providing (D) a control instruction (ci), which is based on the performance measurement result (r) for controlling (D) uplink streaming parameters for sending data to the server (S).
