Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a weighing assembly () for a luggage case (). The weighing assembly () includes at least one support () in contact with a surface that supports a portion of a weight of the luggage case (). A floating element () is coupled to the support (). A deflection member () is coupled to the floating element (), and the portion of the weight of the luggage case () causes an elastic deflection of the deflection member (). A load cell member () disposed adjacent to and separate from the deflection member (). The load cell member () is separate from the deflection member () the elastic deflection of the deflection member () causes a deflection of the load cell member (), the load cell member () senses the amount of deflection, which correlates to the portion of the weight of the luggage ().
