Abstract

An in-vehicle monitoring camera deviceincludes: an obstacle detection unitthat detects, as first obstacles, obstacles detected by a millimeter-wave radarwhich might collide with the host vehicle; a collision risk determination unitthat detects the time before the respective first obstacles and the vehicle come into contact with each other; a distortion correction unitthat generates imageby correcting distortion in imagecaptured using a wide-angle lens; and a camera-viewpoint display control unitthat generates imageby cutting out, from image, an image of the first obstacle having the shortest time to collision. Therein, a radar chartindicating the visual field range or the center direction of the visual field of imageis superimposed on image
