Abstract
A system is for alarm management in connection with a lung recruitment manoeuvre performed by a breathing apparatus on a mechanically ventilated patient. The system is configured to obtain information on at least one optimized ventilation setting for the patient, determined during the lung recruitment manoeuvre, and to automatically initiate at least one alarm setting for a period of ventilation following the recruitment manoeuvre, based on the optimized ventilation setting.
