Abstract

A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell provided with: a positive electrode that has a positive electrode active material; a negative electrode; and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The positive electrode active material contains a lithium composite oxide containing Ni, and the non-aqueous electrolyte contains a non-aqueous solvent containing a fluorinated chain carboxylic acid ester and an organochlorine compound. The organochlorine compound is represented by general formula CFCHCO—CClRR(where in the formula, Rand Rare respectively independent, and are selected from a hydrogen, a halogen, a C1-2 alkyl group, or a C1-2 halogenated alkyl group).
