Abstract

A transparent sealing compound, in particular for use in a wall penetration of lines or in a splice site of a cable set. In order to have greater flexibility the sealing compound consists of a radiation crosslinked, in particular UV-crosslinked, poly (alkyl acrylate). The sealing compound is crosslinked such that its elongation amounts to more than 1000% for a material thickness of 1.5 mm according to ISO 527-2/1BA/300 and its shear strength is less than 1000 min according to DIN EN 1943 (tested per method A, 625 mmcontact surface area).
