Abstract
A system and method for controlling acoustic energy deposition in various media or objects are disclosed. The system and method can generate an acousto-mechanical or acousto-elastic effect in the various media or objects. The acousto-mechanical or acousto-elastic effect can induce a fragmentation of the media or objects.
