Abstract

The invention relates to a squirrel-cage rotor () of an asynchronous machine () having electrical conductors, which are provided in substantially axially extending grooves of a laminated core (). On each end face of the laminated core (), at least one short-circuit ring is provided, which electrically connects at least a predetermined number of the electrical conductors, wherein the short-circuit ring has a reinforcement () made of comparatively high-strength material.
