Abstract

A rotary electric device includes a stator, and a rotor including a rotor core having magnetic poles and permanent magnets at the magnetic poles. Each of two embedding holes in each magnetic pole includes a loading region in which the permanent magnet is loaded, an inner periphery-side gap, and an outer periphery-side gap. Defining D as the minimum distance from the outer periphery-side gap to an outer peripheral surface of the rotor core, Was the width of a teeth of the stator, H0 as the sum of the magnetomotive forces generated in the portion corresponding to a magnetic pole angle Θ in one magnetic pole, and H1 as the magnetomotive force generated in one tooth, the rotor core is formed such that D≥W×(H0/H1).
