Abstract

A mobile terminal camps in a first cell associated with a first reference signal with a first physical structure that relates to a first Time Division Duplex (TDD) allocation of sub-frames for uplink and downlink transmission. The first reference signal is carried by the downlink sub-frames. The mobile terminal detects a broadcast indication of a second physical structure for carrying a second reference signal that relates to a second allocation of sub-frames for uplink and downlink transmissions that differs from the first allocation. The downlink sub-frames according to the second allocation carry the second reference signal. The mobile terminal measures the second reference signal of a neighbor cell as carried by the second physical structure.
