Abstract
Provided is an electrolyte for a secondary battery including a lithium salt, a nonaqueous organic solvent, and a cyclic phosphate compound represented by the following Chemical Formula 2: wherein Rto Rand R' and R″ are independently of one another hydrogen or C1-C7 alkyl; Lis —(CRR)—; Rand Rare independently of each other hydrogen or C1-C7 alkyl; and n is an integer of 1 to 3. Also provided is a lithium secondary battery including the electrolyte.
