Abstract

A shape search unit () that repeats processes of comparing each shape element of current shape data () or previous difference shape data () with each shape element of existing shape data (), setting a set of shape elements that are similar to each other as a result of the comparison as common shape data (), on the other hand, and setting a set of shape elements that are not similar to each other as next difference shape data (), until the common shape data () is not extracted from the difference shape data (), a common mesh extraction unit () that searches for corresponding common mesh data () from an existing model database () using the common shape data () as a search key are provided.
