Abstract
Provided is a breaker capable of further downsizing without impairing rigidity and strength of a case. The breakercomprises a fixed contact, a movable piecehaving and pressing a movable contactto the fixed contact, a thermally responsive elementfor moving the movable pieceto separate the movable contactfrom the fixed contactby deformation thereof responding to temperature change, a case for containing the fixed piece, the movable pieceand the thermally responsive element, and a cover pieceattached on the case. The casehas an end faceon which the cover pieceis disposed, a containing recesscaved from the end faceand forming a space to which the movable pieceand the thermally responsive elementare contained, and a first protrusion protruding from the end faceand to which the cover pieceis fitted.
