Abstract

An objective optical system consists of in order from an object side to an image side, a first group having a positive refractive power, an aperture stop, a second group having negative refractive power, and a third group having a positive refractive power. Focusing is carried out by moving the second group. The objective optical system satisfies the following conditional expression (1').−16.6<2/FL<−11  (1′)
