Abstract

Embodiments of this application provide an information transmission method and a device. The method includes: sending, by a first device, indication information to a second device, where the indication information is used to indicate a report mode, and the report mode specifies content of measurement information to be reported by the second device; and receiving, by the first device, the measurement information sent by the second device, where the measurement information includes a measurement result that is obtained by the second device based on a reference signal sent by the first device, the reference signal is sent through transmit ports of the first device, the measurement information includes information about transmit port groups corresponding to the transmit ports, and the transmit port groups corresponding to the transmit ports are determined by using reception information of the second device.
