A methodof selecting a lighting device from a plurality of lighting devicesin a physical spaceis disclosed. The methodcomprises: obtainingpositions of the plurality of lighting devicesin the physical space, obtaininga position of a user, receivinga first user input from the userindicative of a first direction originating from the position of the user, selectinga first lighting device of the plurality of lighting devicesthat is located in the first direction relative to the position of the user, providinga notification to the userthat the first lighting device has been selected, receivinga second user input from the userindicative of a second direction originating from the position of the user, mappingthe second direction onto the selected first lighting device such that it originates from the position of the selected first lighting device, and selectinga second lighting device of the plurality of lighting devicesthat is located in the mapped second direction relative to the position of the selected first lighting device.
