Abstract
A method and a device for implementation of a browser for intelligently recognizing a gesture-based zoom instruction are provided, relating to the browser technologies. The method includes: detecting, by a mobile terminal, a gesture-based instruction input by a user (S); finding a web page element associated with a position of a touch point of the gesture-based zoom instruction if the detected gesture-based instruction is a gesture-based zoom instruction for zooming a browser page (S); and performing a corresponding operation according to the web page element (S). The method and the device determine, according to the web page element associated with the position of the touch point, whether to perform a zoom operation of the browser page or a re-layout operation of a text region, being capable of improving the user experience.
