Abstract
A view system (A,B) for a vehicle () has an image capture unit (A,B) for capturing image data of a portion around a vehicle (), an image processing unit (A,B) for processing the captured image data, and an image reproduction unit (A,B) for reproducing the processed image data. Included are an image sensor () and an optical element having a distortion curve. The image data are distorted dependent on the position of the image sensor according to the distortion curve. The image processing unit (A,B) is adapted for taking at least one partial portion (') from the image data of the image sensor (), wherein the geometry of the partial portion (′) is dependent on the position of the partial portion (′) on the image sensor ().
