Abstract

A radio node achieving power saving in a radio communication system is provided. A radio node () includes: a first communication unit () configured to connect to at least one communication apparatus () allowed to be connected to a network and another radio node (); a determination unit () configured to determine, in a situation in which each of all the communication apparatuses () is connected to one of the radio nodes () and () included in the network, whether or not a communication apparatus () that transmits data via the first communication unit () is present; and a control unit () configured to stop the first communication unit () when it is determined that the communication apparatus () that transmits data via the first communication unit () is not present.
