Abstract
Application relates to establishing signaling connections in communication network. A source radio access network device sends a handover request message to a target radio access network device to initiate a handover procedure for a user equipment from the source radio access network device to the target radio access network device. The handover request message includes information about an original signaling connection parameter. When the UE enters a target cell, the target radio access network device allocates a new signaling connection parameter and sends a handover complete message to a core network node. The handover complete messages carries the original signaling connection parameter received from the source radio access network device and the allocated new signaling connection parameter about the target radio access network device. The inability of the target radio access network device to establish a signaling connection with the core network node in the related art is effectively solved.
