Abstract

A power transmission devicefor a non-contact power supply devicehas: a transmission coil; a coilconnected in series to the transmission coilwithout joining to a reception coilduring power transmission, said reception coil being included in a resonance circuitfor a power reception device; a power supply circuitthat supplies, to the transmission coil, AC power having a switching frequency at which the transmission coildoes not resonate; and a control circuitthat controls the switching frequency and voltage of the AC power supplied to the transmission coiland controls whether or not both ends of the coilare short-circuited.
