Abstract

Heterocyclic compounds having fused pyrimidine moieties with electron-donating groups. A method of preparing the heterocyclic compounds via a multicomponent condensation reaction is specified. These compounds are effective against corrosion of metallic substrates in acidic (i.e. CO), and high salinity environments commonly found in oil and gas industry.
