Abstract

Safe and secure charging of a vehicle is disclosed. For one embodiment, a system monitors data communicated over a communications network of the motor vehicle. The system determines a current charging stage from a number of predetermined charging stages for the motor vehicle. The system analyzes the monitored data based on the determined current charging stage for an unexpected message. The system detects an unexpected message in the monitored data and performs a corrective action based on the detecting of the unexpected message.
