Compositions and methods for improving the efficacy of DEX, or providing beneficial pharmacokinetic effects to DEX, comprising co-administering a compound of formula I or SARPO, and a compound of Formula II or DEX to a subject in need thereof, and dosage forms, drug delivery systems, methods of treatment thereof.
