Abstract

A secondary batteryincludes a first electrode, a first current collection part, a second electrode, and a separation membrane. The first electrodeis a columnar body including a first active material. The first current collection partis connected to the first electrode. The second electrodeincludes a second active material. The separation membranehas ionic conductivity and insulates the first electrodefrom the second electrode. The secondary batteryhas a structure in which a plurality of the first electrodesare bundled together, with each of the first electrodesbeing adjacent to the second electrodewith the separation membranedisposed therebetween. The plurality of the first electrodesis connected to the first current collection partvia a connection partformed of a low-melting-point metal.
