Abstract

A system for providing remote updates on medical devices includes a wireless communication network, a wearable update output device comprising a wireless receiver in wireless communication with the wireless communication network, and a medical system comprising a medical device, an update generator, and a wireless transmitter. The update generator is configured to monitor a process carried out using the medical device, to generate one or more updates according to device states that occur during the process, and to route the updates to the wireless transmitter. The network is in wireless communication with the wireless transmitter, and is configured to route updates received from the wireless transmitter to the wireless receiver of the wearable update output device.
