Abstract

A method for detecting an operational malfunction of a renewable energy power plant includes measuring the energy production of the power plant over a time period, designated production period T; calculating an actual production indicator from the production measured during the measuring of the energy production; calculating, from a physical model of the power plant, a theoretical production indicator over the production period T; calculating the ratio between the actual production indicator and the theoretical production indicator over the production period T; the measurement of the performance being given by the value of the ratio between the actual production indicator and the theoretical production indicator.
