Abstract

A container () having: a housing member () having a bottom surface member () and a side surface member (); and a protective member () having a receiving surface in contact with an item to be housed. The bottom surface member defines the xy plane and the side surface member defines the xz plane and the yz plane that are orthogonal to the xy plane. The side surface member has a cut-out section () that faces a housing space. The protective member has: an inside member () comprising a receiving section (R) having two receiving surfaces () parallel to the xz plane and the yz plane; and an outside member () arranged between the inside member and a side surface parallel to the yz plane of the side surface member, said outside member being fitted to the inside member so as to be slidable in a direction intersecting the bottom surface. The inside member and the outside member are arranged in the cut-out section so as to each be independently attachable and detachable. The inside member also comprises a support section (S) formed in the y direction of the receiving section and having a support surface (Sa) parallel to the xz plane. The support surface protrudes further in the x direction than the receiving surface parallel to the xz plane.
