Abstract
A control method for a pump assembly () in a pneumatic or hydraulic system controls a speed (n) of the pump assembly () in dependence on at least one variable (Dp, p, T, x) which is detected in the system. An error signal (e) is produced from the detected variable (Dp, p, T, x) on the basis of a sectionwise monotonic function. On the basis of the error signal, the speed (n) of the pump assembly () is controlled.
